Outokumpu Forta range

DUPLEX AND OTHER HIGH STRENGTH STAINLESS STEELS

The Forta range contains duplex and other high strength stainless steels that enable thinner structures and weight reduction (measured in Rp0.2 > 400 MPa. PRE 16 to 43).

Key grades

Duplex

Duplex products for high strength, corrosion resistance, and enhanced resistance to stress corrosion cracking

H-series

Austenitic stainless steel for high strength and high ductility

Temper rolled

Austenitic and ferritic products for high strength and high hardness

We believe in the world that lasts forever

Why Forta range

  • Unlike carbon steels, Forta range duplex products do not need to be painted or coated, making them a more cost effective long-term choice.
  • Because duplex products are also high strength, thinner gauges can potentially be used, which saves on material costs.
  • Forta is home of Outokumpu's latest duplex innovation: formable duplex grade Forta FDX 27.

Why Outokumpu

  • Outokumpu is a global leader in stainless steel, and innovator of the first stainless steels in the world.
  • A strong customer focus, sustainability, and technical excellence are at the heart of everything we do.
  • As a customer you benefit from our strong R&D and technical support

Why stainless steel

  • The durability of stainless steel means that it is not only the best, but also the most economically sustainable choice for a wide range of applications.
  • All of our products are made from an average of 85% recycled material and are fully recyclable at the end of their lifecycles.
