Die Forta-Kategorie umfasst Folgendes: Duplex, H-Serie und kaltverfestigte austenitische und ferritische Produkte. Diese hochfesten Edelstähle ermöglichen dünnere Strukturen und Gewichtsreduzierung.

Hochfeste Edelstähle

Forta steht für Festigkeit. Diese Kategorie umfasst die stärksten Edelstähle in unserem Portfolio. Es vereint drei Produktgruppen: Produkte der Forta Duplex-Serie, vollaustenitische Produkte der Forta H-Serie für hohe Festigkeit und hohe Schweißbarkeit und kaltverfestigte Produkte der Forta-Serie für hohe Festigkeit und hohe Härte.

Forta

Die Forta-Kategorie umfasst Duplex-, H-Serien- und kaltverfestigte austenitische und ferritische Edelstähle, die dünnere Strukturen und Gewichtsreduzierung ermöglichen (gemessen in Rp0,2 > 350 MPa). PRE 16–43). 

Duplex-Edelstahl (austenitisch-ferritisch) vereint viele der besten Eigenschaften austenitischer und ferritischer Edelstähle: hohe Festigkeit, gute Korrosionsbeständigkeit und verbesserte Beständigkeit gegen Spannungsrisskorrosion (Rp0,2 > 400 MPa. PRE 26–43).

Forta DX 2205 (EN 1.4462) ist das bekannteste Duplex-Produkt und biete eine sehr gute Beständigkeit gegen gleichmäßige und örtliche Korrosion sowie gegen Spannungsrisskorrosion in Kombination mit hoher mechanischer Festigkeit. Der Super-Duplexstahl Forta SDX 2507 (EN 1.4410), mit höherer Korrosionsbeständigkeit und mechanischer Festigkeit als Forta DX 2205, wird häufig in extrem korrosiven Umgebungen eingesetzt, wie etwa in Entsalzungsanlagen, in der chemischen Industrie oder bei Offshore-Anwendungen unter Wasser.

Bei der H-Serie handelt es sich um manganhaltige, voll austenitische Edelstähle mit hoher Festigkeit und hoher Schweißbarkeit (Rp0,2 > 400 MPa). PRE  21). Der Forta H400 (EN 1.4376) mit geringerem Nickelgehalt hat eine höhere Festigkeit als die austenitischen Standard-Edelstähle 304/304L und ist eine kostengünstige Lösung für Leichtbauanwendungen in der Automobilindustrie.

Forta H500 (EN 1.4678) hat eine vollständig austenitische und nicht magnetisierbare Mikrostruktur mit deutlicher Kaltverfestigung aufgrund von Twinning. Mit einer Streckgrenze von mehr als 500 MPa ist er eine perfekte Leichtbau-Alternative für sicherheitsrelevante Bauteile in der Automobil- und Transportindustrie. 

Kaltverfestigte Edelstähle haben eine hohe Festigkeit und eine hohe Härte (Rp0,2 > 350 MPa. PRE 16–25). Unter Kaltverfestigung versteht man ein kontrolliertes zusätzliches Kaltwalzverfahren, das bei austenitischen und ferritischen Standard-Edelstählen angewendet wird und die Festigkeit und Oberflächenhärte der Stähle erhöht. Die Festigkeitsklasse umfasst Streckgrenzenklassen von CP350 bis CP1100 MPa und Zugfestigkeitsklassen von C700 bis C1900 MPa.

Der kaltverfestigte austenitische Edelstahl Forta 301/4310 (EN 1.4310) kann die höchste Festigkeitsklasse erreichen. Forta H800 (EN 1.4678) und Forta H1000 (EN 1.4678) sind die kaltverfestigte Variante von Forta H500 und weiterhin unmagnetisch. Sie bieten eine höhere Beständigkeit für crashrelevante Komponenten und eine kostengünstige und preisstabile Lösung in der Automobilindustrie.

Forta LDX 2101

A lean-alloyed duplex product with good resistance to localized and uniform corrosion, as well as stress corrosion cracking, making it a good substitute for coated carbon steel in e.g. structural components and storage tanks. Also offers high mechanical strength and good machinability.

Forta H400

Forta H400 has higher strength than standard 304/4301 and a lower nickel content, making it a cost-effective and lightweight austenitic product for the automotive industry. It has been used in automotive applications for over 10 years.

Forta DX 2304, Forta DX 2205, and Forta SDX 2507 are listed in EN 10028-7:2007.

European material approval EAM 0045-01:2012/01 for Forta LDX 2101 is available for cold rolled 0.5-6.4 mm and hot rolled 3.0–10.0 mm.

In ASME II-D 2013, Forta DX 2205 (S31803 and S32205). Forta EDX 2304 (S32304), Forta SDX 100 (S32760) and Forta SDX 2507 (S32750) are listed for general use in the temperature range -30 – 316 °C. Data for Forta LDX 2101 and Forta LDX 2404 can be found in ASME code case 2418-1 and 2780 respectively.
