The industrial strength solution
For extra thickness or larger dimensions, Outokumpu hot-rolled plates – quarto or heavy plates – are the ideal solution. Because Outokumpu oversees production from melt to market, superior quality and on-time delivery are assured.
More than 60 grades of stainless steel are produced in thicknesses of up to 110 mm, even thicker plates are available on request and widths of up to 3,200 mm at our state-of-the-art plate production unit in Degerfors, Sweden. There, deep industry expertise results in quarto plate with exceptional flatness and surface quality.
NORSOK-approved grades of Outokumpu quarto plate (duplex grades Forta DX 2205, super duplex Forta SDX 2507 and Forta SDX 100, as well as super austenitic Ultra 6XN and Ultra 254 SMO, also referred as 6Mo grades), are qualified for use in the oil and gas industry.
Outokumpu’s network of Plate Service Centers (PSCs) throughout Europe and Kunshan, China offer a comprehensive menu of services designed to add value to your project: plasma cutting, waterjet cutting, laser cutting, bending and mechanical processing, edge preparation, welding, sawing and shearing.
Individually rolled quarto plates can be customized, and material can be delivered prefabricated (prepolished, with edge preparation and corrugation).
