Outokumpu again recognized on Corporate Knights’ 2026 Clean200 list

Outokumpu has once again been included in the prestigious Clean200 ranking by Corporate Knights, reaffirming its position as a global leader in sustainable materials and circular economy.
The Clean200 ranking highlights the world’s 200 publicly traded companies generating the highest share of revenues from sustainable products and services. In the 2026 edition, Outokumpu secured position #86 globally, maintaining its strong standing among the world’s most sustainable companies and remaining one of the highest-ranked companies in the steel and materials sector. Only three Finnish companies ranked in the top 100: Outokumpu, Kone and Nokia.
Outokumpu’s stainless steel is produced with up to 75% lower carbon footprint than global average* due to high use of circular materials and access to own low-emission chromium. As a fully recyclable material, stainless steel plays a key role in enabling circularity and helping customers reduce lifecycle emissions across industries including construction, transportation, energy, and consumer goods.
“We are proud to once again be recognized among the world’s leading sustainable companies,” comments Heidi Peltonen, Vice President, Sustainability. “Outokumpu’s business is based on circular economy: our stainless steel products are made with over 90% recycled content on average. This achievement reflects our long-term commitment to advancing circular economy and providing materials that support global decarbonization.”
The Clean200 list has become a globally recognized benchmark for investors seeking companies that are successfully aligning financial performance with sustainability leadership.
