How can I include Circle Green in my CO2 calculations?

 We print the Product Carbon Footprint on our technical certificates.  When you choose Circle Green, you will also receive a separate certificate that details the percentage of carbon footprint reductions and the CO2 you have saved with your order.

Circle Green vs regular stainless steel?

Circle Green has the same mechanical properties, high quality and durability as our conventional stainless steel offering, but it comes with the promise of at least a 50% CO2 reduction.

Is Circle Green a certified product?

Outokumpu is the first stainless steel producer in the world to provide Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) certificate using a third party-verified methodology. The data distinguishes Circle Green from other conventional stainless steel offerings. We even provide batch-specific CO2 figures for Circle Green. 

 

Does Circle Green use mass balancing to reduce CO2?

We do not employ mass balancing techniques. We have achieved our CO2 reductions through a comprehensive reimagining of stainless steel manufacturing across the entire value chain, and by successfully implementing transformative measures.

Can I use a Circle Green trademark in my products?

Circle Green is a protected trademark but we are open to enable utilization of the trademark towards end consumer products.
