Special properties for critical forming operations
Cold-rolled precision strip (also known as thin strip) of stainless and heat-resistant steels combines a wide variety of properties with high precision. Outokumpu precision strip is produced in a wide range of standard and specialty stainless steel grades. The most common grades are austenitic and ferritic. Martensitic precipitation hardenening stainless steel Dura 6908 (also known as Ultrafort 1.6908) precision strips are also available; duplex grades are available on request.
Product dimensions range from 3 to less than 650 mm in width and from 0.05 to 1.5 mm in thickness. All of our products are manufactured to tightly defined tolerances in tension strength, flatness, surface texture, and more.
The special properties of precision strip can be targeted to specific applications, including yield strength, tensile strength, grain size and even isotropy. Electroslag remelted (ESR) material is used when particularly clean steel is required. For high strength and optimized spring properties, stainless precision strip is available in a wide variety of designs and finishes.
Outokumpu stainless steel precision strip is available with embossed surfaces, deburred edges, fully rounded edges, as spooled material, endless strip and galvanized.
Outokumpu Dahlerbrück plant in Germany produces precision strip with high flexibility and fast reaction times. We provide the expertise and quality stainless steel you need to find the optimal solution for your specific application.
