We are looking for a fully bilingual Shipment Supervisor for Mex to US to join our Supply Chain team in San Luis Potosi.
Purpose: Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials according to the inbound / outbound production schedule. Review sales, planning and production schedules to execute Inbound / Outbound shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily execution and management of Logistics operations activity which could include
- Pre-material barge shipment activity from CVT to Port of Mobile; Intercompany movements (in and out bound); Inbound raw material barges and containers; Outbound Materials; Development of Foreign Trade Zone summaries and weekly estimates; Manages export container shipments to export customers; External Warehouse activities; Slab movement (in and out bound)
- Develop and implement new/improved processes and procedures for effective and efficient Logistics practices
- Support business departments on execution of urgent shipments
- Ensure quick and precise system execution for the delivery of OTK products
- Work proactively with Production, Sales and Panning departments to ensure continuous support
- Assist internal team members on critical shipments and non-standard requests
- Follow processes in full compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory guidelines when applicable
- Review and validate contractual compliance for payments including contractual performance
- Prepare and maintain SOP’s for all departmental activities
- Develop and maintain reporting to measure associated area(s) of responsibility
- Coordinate and execute special projects and additional services as requested
- Develop and report Carrier/Supplier Scorecards and KPI reporting
- Prepare month end closing reports on logistics costs and KPI's. Develop and report Carrier/Supplier Scorecards and KPI reporting
- Monthly closing and review of invoices, shipment status, Inventory results, warehouses, foreign trade and consumables.
- Coordinate and execute special projects and additional services as requested
- Participation and involvement in ISO and IATF certifications as inner auditor, as well in participation in the logistics of new projects.
Requirements:
- Degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
- English language proficiency required. (oral and written)
- Minimum 2-3 years shipping experience, international and domestic
- Prior experience in Global Logistics operations a plus
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
- Proficient ability in working MS Office and Excel. SAP is plus
- Experience controlling SOP
