The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is causing concern and turbulence around the world. Outokumpu is monitoring the evolving pandemic closely and has taken strong action to control the situation.

We have taken numerous measures to protect the health, safety and the wellbeing of our people, customers and partners and at the same ensure the continuity of our business. For example, we have suspended all travel, face-to-face meetings and attendance at any gatherings or events. We have also limited visitor access to our sites to the absolutely critical and we encourage our people to work from home whenever possible.

Our aim is to avoid any interruption to our production, deliveries and other daily activities. We have contingency plans in place to ensure continued customer service also during exceptional times. We maintain a continuous dialogue with our key stakeholders in the local communities and across the globe to monitor the situation and implement new procedures if needed.
