Outokumpu can offer high strength grades for weight saving. We offer a full product range including SANS grade 1.4402 316L at up to 2000 mm wide in both plate, sheet and coil. Utilising grade SANS 1.4402 allows you to design tanks with a thinner wall thickness when compared to conventional 316L grades. The additional ability of a 2000mm width allows you, as the tank manufacturer, to utilise fewer welds in the design and therefore reduce consumables and manufacturing costs. We also offer other weight saving grades, such as duplex stainless steels, and temper rolled stainless steels.
