Oil and Gas Coolers
The corrosiveness of process fluids is increased by their elevated temperature. It is necessary to use coolers to reduce the temperature of both oil and gas before piping it ashore or processing it further. As many of the heat exchangers in these cooling systems use seawater as a coolant, it is necessary to use a stainless steel grade with enhanced corrosion resistance, such as 254 SMO, or SAF 2507 for this application.
