Mechanical Properties of Austenitic-Ferritic Steels
Room Temperature
Austenitic-ferritic (Duplex) steels have a high yield stress which increases with increasing carbon and nitrogen levels. Increased ferrite content will, within limits, also increase the strength of duplex steels.
Their ductility is good and they exhibit strong work hardening.
