With the stock expansion, initiated by Thin Strip Nyby, Outokumpu wants to ensure better availability and shorter delivery times for special grades in thinner gauges. This will also improve Outokumpu’s product selection for this market with a range of duplex and high performance austenitic grades for demanding applications.

Stock expansions will be carried out in phases.
- The first part includes sheets in standard dimensions. This material will be located at the service center Outokumpu Nordic in Eskilstuna. The grades are LDX2101® (1.4162), 2304 (1.4362), 2205 (1.4462), 904L (1.4539), 254SMO (1.4547), 4828 (1.4828), 309S (1.4833), 153MA (1.4818), 253MA (1.4835) and 4845 (1.4845).
- The second part consists of sheets and semi-finished coils and will be located at Outokumpu Thin Strip in Nyby. LDX2101® (1.4162), 2205 (1.4462), 904L (1.4539) and 254SMO (1.4547).
Please note that the current selection can be revised in the future depending on the actual demand. The build-up of the two stocks has already been initiated in Nyby and Eskilstuna and the complete range will be available during the beginning of Q3 this year. |
