Avesta Research Centre is looking to appoint a research engineer in the area of process chemistry and environmental control.
The technical area process chemistry covers subjects such as process development
of stainless pickling, chemical analysis and consumption. Acid recovery and re-usage of metallic by-products are parts of our widely acknowledged environmental work.
As research engineer you will participate in knowledge development and propagate knowledge in relevant areas to our production units.
The research tasks are performed as project work together with some of our production units and usually include laboratory work, follow up in production units, pilot plant studies and full-scale trials.
Main research tasks
• To run process development projects in cooperation with our production units.
• Initiate and act within cooperation projects with universities and research institutes.
• Support our production units in chemical related issues.
• Carry out analytical and practical laboratory work.
Suitable background is an academic degree at master level with substantial inorganic chemical focus. You must be able to work independently and establish good contact with process- and environmental departments at out production units.
You like to work in a structured manner and have knowledge of project work, experimental design and assessment of results.
Perennial experience from works task close production in the above areas will be considered qualifying.
The employment requires good knowledge in written and spoken English.
