HyTens®

Properties

Strong
From high strength to ultra-high strength, HyTens can be produced to the individual requirements of each customer.

Economical
High strength means structures can be lighter and with less material. There are often considerable reductions in the Life Cycle Costs (LCC) of finished products.

Maintenance-free
No surface treatment necessary, corrosion resistance is "built in".

Attractive
Stainless steel is naturally beautiful

Hygienic
The stainless surface is easy to keep clean.

Environmental
HyTens is 100% recyclable.

Weldable
HyTens is easy to weld. Note that, as strength is reduced in the weld area, great care must be taken as regards weld position.

Formable
Whatever its strength level, HyTens retains good formability - better than either carbon steel or aluminium.

1.4310 301 4310 HyTens® 0.10 17 7 - A steel which can be cold rolled to high, preset, yield strength and tensile strength values.
This steel offers an excellent combination of strength and formability.
1.4307 304L 4307 HyTens® 0.02 18.3 9.2 - This steel has slightly better corrosion properties than 4310 HyTens®.
Elongation at rupture is slightly lower.
Manufactured with a tensile strength of up to 1300 MPa.
1.4404 316L 4404 HyTens® 0.02 17.5 11 2.2 This steel should be chosen where good corrosion resistance is required. It has superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and general corrosion.
The mechanical properties are equivalent to those of 4307 HyTens®
