What do you do at Outokumpu?
My days vary, involving such things as monitoring and planning development projects for new products. Furthermore I am responsible for ensuring our product quality and optimizing our products for specific market requests.
How has your career progressed?
After my work in university research I started my career at ThyssenKrupp Nirosta in 1999. I assisted on projects concerning process optimization and product development in strip-casting. Since 2004 I am in my current position.
What do you enjoy the most in your job?
I enjoy inter-departmental work with different teams and different topics, furthermore looking into the future of our company when developing new products.
What do you like about Outokumpu?
Outokumpu is an international company with many different cultures. Especially exciting and challenging is the process of bringing together two major stainless steel producers.
