With redoubled commitment to true innovation, the Outokumpu Experience closed Thursday afternoon in Berlin on a crest of excitement. Attended by more than 600 guests representing 50 countries, the two-day event generated a spirited dialog on innovation, sustainability and advanced materials.
Thought-provoking keynote presentations – including review of current global economic trends and analysis of the stainless steel value chain – capped the final day’s agenda. Bracketing in-depth breakout sessions, a dramatic display of
showcased Outokumpu products and those of select customers.
The most anticipated industry event of 2015, the Outokumpu Experience envisioned “a world that lasts forever.” With unparalleled opportunity to network, share and discover, participants joined in exploration of powerful solutions.
Exciting new Outokumpu products were at the heart of every conversation. Demopoints introduced Core 4622 (a high-chromium ferritic), Supra316plus (an enhanced version of Supra 316L/4404), and the high-strength, lightweight Forta H500 series. Outokumpu Deco Range’s extensive display gained a lot of attention and interest among customers – one of the newcomers in this range is the Supermatt surface finish.
Focus on performance
Demonstrating Outokumpu’s unwavering commitment to its customers, launch of a new, simpler approach to product categorization was also announced
during the Experience. By grouping products into two broad families – Classic and Pro – with ranges based on performance rather than steel type, choosing the best product for a specific application is greatly simplified.
Guests were energized by the event’s closing session, a lively panel discussion. Outokumpu Experience 2015 ended with a focus on sustainability, emerging energy technologies and crash-resistant automotive components – varied topics, but each indicative of the role played by stainless steel in a world that lasts forever!
