Outokumpu will be participating in the Aachen Body Engineering Days 2017 on September 19-20 at the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) of RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
On 19 and 20 September the Aachen Body Engineering Days 2017 take place at the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) of RWTH Aachen University. The international conference is a well-established meeting point for body engineering, material and manufacturing technology experts and offers the opportunity for exchange about recent and future developments.
The conference comprises presentations of notable speakers offering an outlook on strategies and visions in body engineering, technical sessions and presentations of the latest car bodies and their components. A key element of the conference is the technical exhibition, where latest vehicles, vehicle bodies and innovative structural design concepts are presented.
Outokumpu is presenting its ISSF Gold Award winning Bionic Lightweight Structures for Battery Vehicles, constructed from Outokumpu Forta H1000.
Outokumpu’s automotive engineering expert Stefan Lindner will have a presentation at the conference on “Added values for electric mobility by the use of austenitic high strength steels”.
At the exhibition Outokumpu will showcase its demonstrator of a frame structure construction manufactured with Forta H1000. The demonstrator enables the combination of a high stiffness and crash safety combined with maximum lightweight and cost efficiency.
