Our integrated mill features one of the most advanced melt shops and continuous casting operations in Europe. Capable of 500,000 tonnes per year SMACC (Stainless melting and continuous casting) feeds billets to the neighbouring ASR Rod Mill in Sheffield for hot rolling into BS6744 rebar diameters 6mm to 25mm. The rebar is first produced in coils and then pickled to form the protective oxide film that makes stainless steel the obvious choice for corrosion resistant reinforcement.

The ASR mill is capable of 50,000 tonnes of rod coil production per year in a large array of stainless grades. The coils are then forwarded to bar finishing for either dispatch as coils, straightened into standard 12m lengths or cut and bent to your rebar schedule.  Delivery is either on lorry for continental Europe in containers for intercontinental shipping.
