This issue of Acom focuses on one very specific product, welded stainless steel tubes & pipes, where the advantage of using welded tubular products play a vital role in virtually every industrial segment supporting our daily lives. Improved metallurgy and welding processes have diminished the use of seamless pipes.

This is a product where non-destructive testing can be used to allow a joint coefficient or welding factor for longitudinally welded tubes of 1.0 according to EN standards. Stainless Steel Tubes & Pipes have good to excellent corrosion resistance and high quality surface finish characteristics. For this reason welded tubular products is an excellent choice in demanding applications such as food processing, pharmaceutical production, for the conveyance and processing of liquids, gases and semi-solids in solution.
