Following the general price trend on the market for stainless flat products, Outokumpu has decided to increase the base prices for quarto plate with 5-6% for deliveries from the fourth quarter.
Quarto plates are individually rolled wide and thick plates and they normally represent close to 10% of Outokumpu's delivery volumes. Typical end-user and project customers are in segments like desalination, chemical tankers, oil & gas, pulp & paper, as well as in energy, chemical and petrochemical industry. Applications include e.g. pressure vessels and open tanks, heavy-walled pipes, bridge sections and process equipment.
