Outokumpu grade 1.4003 is a ferritic grade having 11% chromium. Grade is a constructional ferritic stainless steel having typical applications in various transportation vehicles (such as bus bodies and coal wagons) and in the field of architecture, building and construction.

The material is available for sales in the full width range up to 1 500mm. A grade specific pickling acid compositions and other process parameters are needed to gain the perfect surface quality.
Successful development work has also been done in the cold rolled materials. Grade 1.4003 is now available as cold rolled 2B material. Thickness range is from 0,80mm to 2,00mm. However, to ensure that all the customer requirements can be fulfilled, all the orders need to be technically checked prior to order confirmation. |
