Outokumpu Supplies Thousands of Tons of Pipe to the LNG Market
From new receiving terminals in Freeport, Texas to production facilities in Qatar and numerous locations around the world, Outokumpu is supplying thousands of tons of large diameter welded stainless steel pipe to engineering and consulting companies working in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry. Our stainless grade 304L is most commonly used for gas gathering lines and in liquefaction plants.
Liquefied natural gas is of increasing importance as an energy source for commercial and domestic customers around the world. In the U.S. alone, demand for natural gas will increase by 25 percent over the next decade (according to the U.S. Department of Energy) and Outokumpu pipe products will be there to supply this demand.
