Outokumpu Stainless has published the 9th edition of the Corrosion Handbook. The book has a long history, as the first “Corrosion tables” were published already 1934.
The handbook contains an introduction to corrosion resistance of stainless steel and articles describing corrosion related issues within different industrial sectors such as high temperature applications, water treatment, desalination, transportation of chemicals, pulp & paper and oil & gas to mention some.
The book has been added a new paragraph containing information on the new steel grade LDX 2101®, developed by Outokumpu Stainless. The lean duplex has a corrosion resistance better than 1.4301, but more than twice the strength of 1.4301/1.4404 and has a price level close to 1.4301. |
